The plan, signed last year during the visit of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero to the Southeast Asian nation, aims to strengthen exchanges in performing arts, music, dance and cinematography, among other areas.
The interlocutors highlighted the strength that both countries possess in the preservation of heritage and ratified their interest in sharing experiences in the vital task of preserving, safeguarding and promoting cultural values as the basis of diversity.
They also recalled the masterful presentation made here in the summer of 2016 by the current director of the National Ballet of Cuba, Viengsay Valdés, which was attended by King Norodom Sihamoni. Both Cambodia and Cuba have valued the importance of dance, which has built a new bridge of friendship between the two countries.
During the dialogue it also transcended that in the precious literary collection of the Queen Mother, there is a copy of the book “Embajada en la selva” and before: “Paralelo 17”, by the revolutionary fighter, diplomat and writer, Raúl Valdés Vivó.
