In statements to Prensa Latina, Labañino who also serves as Vice President of Cuba´s National Association of Economists and Accountants (ANEC) stressed how significant would be to strengthen relations with Argentina.
I´m here in Argentina on behalf of ANEC and as humble son of our people who comes to strengthen bilateral relations with our Argentine brothers and sisters.
We reaffirm our revolutionary principles and convictions. We have the chance of deepening solidarity, establishing new alliances with universities, study centers and cooperatives. We´re envisaging exchanges among doctors and health collaborators, Labañino added.
Labañino, on the other hand, stated he will launch in Argentina´s capital and in some other provinces his book ¨Man of Silence: Prison Diary¨, where he exposes personal experiences after being arrested in 1998 alongside René González, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernández and Fernando González for monitoring terrorist groups operating from the United States.
We want to make known the truth about the Cuban Five imprisoned in the United States, smoke out U.S. prison system and to tell everything we suffered during 16 years of political imprisonment, he said.
