Putin stressed that Russia increased foreign trade with its partners

Moscow, Mar 29 (Prensa Latina) Russia's trade exchange with its main foreign partners is growing, President Vladimir Putin affirmed at a ministerial meeting.

These results are largely due to the restructuring of logistics carried out by the authorities to face the Western sanctions policy, TASS news agency reported today.

Thus, February’s results show an increase in rail cargo, while preliminary data for March indicate a further improvement in this dynamic, Putin continued.

‘This, as we know, is a very good indicator of what is happening in real life,’ he stressed.

The head of State also drew attention to the fact that the problem of saturation of Pacific Ocean ports has already been solved and they are functioning normally and on schedule, both in terms of exports and imports.

The return to the path of growth should not relax us, we must support, reinforce the positive trends of our economy, increase its efficiency, guarantee its technological, human and financial sovereignty, and we must act quickly, without bureaucracy or unnecessary delays, the head of State said.

Illegitimate restrictions imposed against the national economy in the medium term may indeed have a negative impact on it, therefore, it is necessary to durably increase domestic demand, he explained.

‘In the current situation, it is becoming the main factor of economic growth, coming to the forefront,’ Putin stressed.
