‘There is irrefutable evidence of the large-scale biological actions carried out by Washington in Ukraine, as well as of the involvement of the US elites in these processes,’ Patrushev said at a meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

He also noted that infectious outbreaks were recorded in the areas of Ternopol, Odessa, Kharkov and Nikolayev near the institutes where pathogens such as hemorrhagic fever, cholera, swine flu, hepatitis A and botulism were studied.

Patrushev said that ‘not only Ukraine became a testing ground for biological weapons, but other nations such as Georgia, Moldova are also targeted by the United States’.

The Russian Security Council secretary called on the needs to ensure medical and biological security in the SCO space a ‘serious challenge’.
