Nicaraguan Vice President Rosario Murillo explained on Wednesday that it is the first exercise this year, and several state institutions, such as the National System for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Attention (Sinapred), will be involved.
Likewise, the Nicaraguan Army’s Civil Defense, the National Police, municipalities and communities, and all organizations working to protect the population against any multi-threat will participate.
“That is what we ensure with our daily work, dedicating ourselves to the protection, to the safeguard, and the defense of life in all its forms,” the vice president pointed out.
According to the information, training will emphasize preparedness for earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and landslides, without neglecting other natural hazards such as hurricanes.
