End to the judicial persecution of Cristina Fernandez demanded

Buenos Aires, Mar 31 (Prensa Latina) Members of social, trade union and political organizations will arrive at the Palace Courthouse in the capital to demand an end to the judicial persecution of the Argentine Vice President, Cristina Fernández.

The demonstrators will be accompanying Father Francisco Oliveira, member of the Group of Priests in Option for the Poor, on his seventh and last day of fasting to denounce the attempts to proscribe Cristina, who is also head of the Senate.

In addition, they will demand the resignation of the members of the Supreme Court, who are facing impeachment for poor performance and violations committed.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a mass scheduled for this afternoon and the activities organized to request reform of the judicial system and an end to the aggressions against Fernandez.

During the previous days, those present highlighted the importance of celebrating 40 years of democracy and remembered former president Néstor Kirchner (1950-2010) and the former president of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association, Hebe de Bonafini (1928-2022).

On December 6, 2022, the Federal Oral Court 2 sentenced Fernández to six years in prison and her perpetual disqualification from holding public office for alleged irregularities in the awarding of 51 works between 2003-2015, facts that the vice-president rejected and denied during three years of hearings.

The former president denounced the existence of a mafia, a parallel state and a judicial party, that does not tolerate anyone going against what they say and governs and decides outside all socio-econmic classes.
