According to Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa, EU Ambassador in Havana, the sixth edition goal-oriented to showcasing European films will approach filmmakers´ works.
The festival will feature films by Samuel Theis, Jan Komasa, Teona Strugar, Jasmila Zbanic, Lukas Dhont, Wolfgang Fischer, Gianni Amelio, Jonas Poher Rasmussen, Benedikt Erlingsson, Vicente Alves do Ó, Eva Spreitzhofer, Nora Fingschedt, and Danilo Serbedzija. Cinematheque of Cuba programmer Antonio Mazón expressed the presence of films that have won the LUX awards from the European Parliament, including Quo Vadis, Aida, Close, Rompesistema, and Corpus Christi.
“Producers or co-producers from 13 nations will have the chance of presenting their works,” Mazón said, while stating that the screenings will be held April 12 to 23.
He also announced documentary “Flee,” directed by Poher Rasmussen, will open the meeting.
