Cuba and Angola strengthen political and economic cooperation ties

Havana, Apr 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and Angola expressed here today their common will to strengthen their political, economic, commercial and cooperation ties, guided by historic bonds of friendship, said Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

In his Twitter profile, the main representative of the island´s diplomacy said that such interest was evidenced during a meeting held with the Minister of State and head of the Civil House of the Presidency of that African nation, Adão Francisco Correia de Almeida.

This Thursday, delegations of both countries began the fifteenth session of the intergovernmental commission, during which they will focus on nine key axes or sectors, to evaluate results and projections, in addition to the signing of three legal instruments.

They will also address the improvement in negotiations for the establishment of the bilateral economic agenda, targeted at forwarding relations beyond the short term.

Cuba and Angola maintain ties of friendship and solidarity, forged in common struggles to maintain Angolan independence, in mutual support, during difficult situations and in the search for development.
