In an exclusive interview with Prensa Latina, the diplomat assured that the parliamentary leader will hold dialogues at the highest level with Cuban authorities, in order to strengthen the historic relations of brotherhood and full trust between both parties, governments and peoples.
“The visit pursues the objective of expanding and further deepening bilateral collaboration in various fields. It is the largest delegation ever to come to Cuba in terms of the number of political leaders, parliamentarians, businessmen and friendship associations,” Tung added.
“It constitutes an expression of the exemplary relations between Vietnam and Cuba passed down to us by the top leaders of the two nations: Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh,” the head of Mission argued.
Dinh Hue and his delegation will participate in the constitutive sessions of the 10th Legislature of the Cuban Parliament, scheduled for April 19. They will also sign a collaboration protocol between the two national assemblies.
Both countries are celebrating this year the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the committee of solidarity with the people of South Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the first visit of Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, to the liberated zone of Quang Tri, still in the middle of the war against the United States.
