Maduro recalls people’s victory over a mercenary invasion

Gadeon
Caracas, May 3 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro recalled on Wednesday the people's victory three years ago over the attempted mercenary invasion organized by the United States, known as Operation Gadeón.

In a civil-military-police union, our people neutralized the mercenary invasion that, under the empire’s leadership and the auspices of the stateless opposition, tried to desecrate patriotic soil, the head of State wrote on his Twitter account.

“They could never break the shield of the Revolution,” Maduro tweeted.

PSUV First Vice President Diosdado Cabello pointed out that those who would somehow work for former President Donald Trump (2017-2020) led this operation and explained that then self-proclaimed president Juan Guaidó hired those people.

He revealed that the aim was to take over the Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía; the Miraflores Palace, the seat of the government; and assassinate President Nicolás Maduro.

Cabello recalled Comandante Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and pointed out that after his death, opposition sectors bet on the fall of the Revolution.

He assured that the Bolivarian leader sowed conscience in the people and “conscience and trust in the state security agencies.”
