Cuban three-time world champion had second win in World Championship

Tashkent, May 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuban three-time world champion Lazaro Alvarez signed today his second victory in the World Boxing Championship held here, in his debut in the 63.5 kilograms division.

The gold medalist of the orb in 2011, 2013 and 2015 in the 60 kilograms was too much for the Ethiopian Mesfin Biru Keralah, whom he dominated from toe to toe, as he did in his debut against the Mexican Cesar Morales.

Thus, Cuba maintained its undefeated condition in the world event, which was extended in the morning by Alejandro Claro and Fernando Arzola.

Claro defeated Armenian Harutyunyan Baregham 4-0 in the 48 kilograms, and Arzola made his debut in the over 92 kilograms with a 5-0 victory over Italian Diego Lenzi.

The aspiration of the team from Cuba is to retain the crown won two years ago in the competition organized by Belgrade, Serbia.
