The day began with a master lecture entitled “Cuba’s Cultural Heritage.” by Dr. Alicia Garcia Santana, National Conservation Award winner and a member of Cuba’s National Monuments Commission.
Another special moment during the day is the panel “Youth and Cultural Heritage in the Caribbean.” Transculture Program, a space for exhibitors from the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office in Cuba, the European Union and entrepreneurs from the Antilles, from the universities of the West Indies and of Antigua and Barbuda.
The morning also brings the lecture “Cuban School for the Management of the Comprehensive Development of Heritage Cities,” by speakers from the Historic Center of Havana.
“Heritage Island,” “Freedom Park as a Place of Remembrance and Memory” and “The Anti-Monuments in Mexico,” will take place in the afternoon session, among other debates.
