Autopsies performed on Kenyan messianic cult victims

Nairobi, May 8 (Prensa Latina) Forensic doctors and specialists on Monday continue to exhume 112 bodies of victims of a messianic cult that settled in the northwestern county of Kilifi in search of traces of sales of human organs.

A spokesperson for the pathologists told reporters that so far, none of the autopsies on the bodies examined showed signs of organ trafficking.

The same source assured that the causes of death have so far determined starvation, strangulation, and suffocation, with no information on the circumstances and manner in which they died.

The only thing that is clear so far is that Priest Paul Mackenzie, who is currently in police custody and under judicial investigation, encouraged his parishioners to fast until death to obtain heavenly glory.

Exhumations will continue until 360 people reported missing are found, 60 others were rescued alive.
