Cuban Family Code was under the spotlight in Rome’s event

Rome, May 17 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Family Code was under the spotlight while its social rights were being praised in an event in the Italian capital, with the participation of experts from both countries, a spokesman for the organizers on Wednesday referred.

Roberto Fraschetti, director of the Julio Antonio Mella Circle, belonging to the National Association of Friendship Italy-Cuba (ANAIC), informed Prensa Latina that in that forum, professors of the Law School of the University of Havana, Yuri Perez and Ana Maria Alvarez, explained some specific features of that law.

The conference was arranged by ANAIC along with the Cuban Embassy in Italy and the Roman authorities of Municipality X as one of the commemorating activities of the Family International Day, which has been celebrated by the UN every 15th of May, since 1994.

Among the attendants, to the meeting, were various personalities as Mario Falconi, president of the local government; Danis Zumaquero, third secretary in charge of Scientific and Technical Affairs of Cuban diplomatic mission; Italian jurists Giovanni Nero and Paola Pau as well as the municipal advisor Antonio Caliendo and Marco Noli, from the ANAIC circle.

Cuban experts explained the process for the approval of this legislation, whose content is based on the provisions of the Cuban Constitution, in force since 2019, that establishes human dignity as the key value of the social project, which is defended in the Code of Families.
