Parliament of Vietnam analyzes two draft laws

Hanoi, May 24 (Prensa Latina) The third working day of the National Assembly of Vietnam will focus on the examination of the draft laws on Tendering and Civil Defense.

The bill of the Tender Law was debated last March by the Permanent Legislative Committee and seeks to guarantee transparency in these processes through compliance.

The Civil Defense Law bill, on the other hand, was presented last November to the fourth session of the Legislature, delimits the activities in this sphere and defines the rights and obligations of agencies, organizations and individuals in the exercise of their functions, as well as the management and State resources for its execution.

The said bill has the purpose of completing and improving the legal framework for the prevention, control and active response to incidents, natural disasters and epidemics, thus guaranteeing the security of the country in the course of such situations.

Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc presented a report on the practice of saving and fighting against waste in 2022, according to which almost 2.3 billion dollars of state capital were saved.

During this session of the National Assembly, the chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Vietnamese parliament, Le Quang Manh, stated that the body basically agreed with the government´s report, although he noted that this administration did not evaluate or analyze improvements in the organization of the savings practice and the prevention of waste, nor did it sufficiently point out problems, shortcomings, causes and responsibilities in the management and use of public investment capital, recycled resources, renewable energies and digital resources.
