Cuba reports 58 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Havana, May 25 (Prensa Latina) The Public Health Ministry (MINSAP) on Thursday reported 58 new Covid-19 cases in Cuba, bringing the total number of infected patients to 145.

According to the closing report on May 24 at midnight, 37 patients were discharged, so the number of recovered people rose to 1,105,284.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,114,018 citizens have been infected with the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus.

The report states that no one died as a result of the disease and the total death toll remains at 8,530.

Meanwhile, one patient in serious condition in intensive care.

MINSAP added that 90.7 percent of the Cuban population has been fully vaccinated, while 8,733,529 people have received booster doses of Cuba’s homegrown vaccines.
