Palestinian resistance factions respond to Israeli attacks

Ramallah, May 25 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian resistance factions responded to Israeli attacks during the imposition of a security cordon and the assault on the Aqabat Jabr camp in Jericho.

According to local reports, the fighters fought against a raid by the occupation forces, who deployed snipers on the roofs of houses, closed off roads and demolished a perimeter wall in the camp.

The Newpress agency indicated that the military operation in the Aqabat Jabr camp was similar to one in Nablus a few days ago, as a follow-up of Israel’s raids campaign against Palestinian fighters.

According to the Ministry of Health, eight Palestinian suffered gunshots to the lower extremities, including a critical one to the main artery.

In light of the Tel Aviv Army’s persistent aggression against Palestine’s occupied territories, the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation recently highlighted the right of the State of Palestine to its sovereignty over the city of East Jerusalem.

The Committee released a statement denouncing that Israel, the occupying power, has no right or sovereignty over Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

It also condemned, in the strongest terms, the raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the violation of its sanctity, stating that it is a provocative move, unacceptable under international law, and represents a flagrant violation.

The Committee also demanded that the United Nations Security Council work immediately to end Tel Aviv government’s attacks against the Palestinian people which threatens security and stability in the region.
