Céline Dion forced to cancel concerts for health reasons

Ottawa, May 26 (Prensa Latina) Canadian singer Céline Dion announced the cancellation of her concerts in Europe as part of the Courage World Tour due to her state of health, a situation that today prevents her from taking the broad vocal qualities of Ottawa to the limit.

The interpreter announced at the end of last year that she suffers from rigid person syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle rigidity that affects both her motor skills and her voice.

I am very sorry to disappoint them again and I work hard to regain my strength, but going on a tour is difficult, even when you are at 100 percent, the artist said in a statement.

And she argued that she made this decision because it was not fair to postpone the concerts, which she will resume when she is really well to go on stage.

Since 2019, the world tour promoting her album Courage was announced, the singer’s first in more than 10 years and which began in September of that year in Quebec City, to then resume the presentations in June 2021, although these were not made due to her illness.

Despite the setbacks caused by this condition in her life and career, Dion made her debut this year in the seventh art industry within the cast of Love Again, a film that has a soundtrack in the voice of this legend of pop music.

The compilation that corresponds to the music from the film has been available since May 12, and contains among its 14 tracks five new songs by the interpreter, including Love Again, and hits like That’s the way it is and It’s All Coming Back to Me Now .
