Russia believes that West is pushing Ukraine into a counteroffensive

Mijail-Galuzin-Rusia-500x375
Moscow, May 27 (Prensa Latina) Western countries are constantly putting pressure on Ukraine to launch a counteroffensive, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin warned.

The Deputy Foreign Minister stressed in an interview with the TASS news agency that this pressure on Ukraine clearly demonstrates that the masters of the Kiev regime and the president himself, Vladimir Zelensky, are indifferent to the fate of the country and its inhabitants.

Galuzin added that the West is determined to continue the conflict with Russia “to the last Ukrainian”, and that is why the (Western) media has been speculating for several months on the topic of a possible counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The United States wants to prolong the conflict in Ukraine as long as possible and make it even bloodier,” the deputy minister added.

“It is significant that in recent months the United States and its NATO allies have significantly expanded the range of arms supplies to Ukraine, including heavy tanks, artillery, and long-range cruise missiles.” Galuzin stressed.

“Now there is talk of supplying F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Washington and London wish to raise the stakes in the conflict, drag it out as long as possible, make it even bloodier,” the official said.

According to Galuzin, “strong statements by top Ukrainian officials and regular comments by Western politicians about the upcoming counter-offensive reflect the Anglo-Saxon (the U.S. and Western Europe) intention of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.”

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation assured that the open speculation of Western countries about the imminent Ukrainian counteroffensive confirms their direct involvement in the conflict.
