Cuba reports 20 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, May 30 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Tuesday reported 20 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths as a consequence of the disease in the last 24 hours.

Until May 29, 46 patients were discharged, so the number of recovered people rose to 1,105,458.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,114,172 citizens have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The report states that the total number of active patients is 125; one of which is seriously ill and is being treated at an intensive care unit.

The report added that the total death toll remains at 8,530.

According to MINSAP, 90.7 percent of the Cuban population has been fully vaccinated, while 8,739,465 people have been administered booster doses of Cuba’s homegrown vaccines.
