Cuba reports 35 new cases of Covid-19, no deaths

Havana, Jun 2 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Friday reported 35 new Covid-19 cases nationwide, bringing the total number of contagions to 122.

According to the closing report of June 1 at midnight, 31 people were discharged so the number of recovered patients reached 1,105,565.

Since outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,114,276 citizens have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The report stated that no deaths have been reported recently as a result of the disease and the total death toll remains at 8,530.

One patient was reported seriously ill and is being treated at an intensive care unit, according to the report.

MINSAP noted that 90.7 percent of the Cuban population has been fully vaccinated, while 8,742,146 people have received booster doses of Cuba’s homegrown vaccines.
