Massimo D’Alema and Alessandro Profumo are being under investigation by the public prosecutor’s office of the city of Naples for the sale of military ships and airplanes to Colombia, the Corriere Della Sera newspaper published.
Giuseppe Giordo, former Fincantieri CEO and some mediators are also being investigated.
According to the accusation, the investigated individuals acted in different ways as promoters of the commercial economic initiative to sell to the Colombian government Italian products including M 346 airplanes and small submarines, the publication detailed.
Major goal was to sign formal and definitive agreements with the Colombian authorities regarding the described supplies with a global economic value in the millions, the publication added.
