Granma newspaper reported this today, as in 2022, World2Fly airline, owned by the Spanish hotel chain Iberostar, promotes the arrival of tourists interested in visiting Cuba through the air terminal in Matanzas province (western Cuba).

The first flight of the current summer season of the airline arrived this Saturday at Varadero’s Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport, with 430 passengers on board, from the Portuguese capital.

Airline supervisor Juan Carlos Martinez, announced the news and stated that until the end of October, they will receive passengers every Saturday, with tourists interested in stays in the Hicacos Peninsula (where Varadero is located) and in Havana ( the capital city of Cuba).

In a survey many travelers expressed the that they expect to get to know the local culture, enjoy the tourist center of Varadero, where their main stay is located, and depending on their experience, they would repeat the visit.

Varadero is located about 140 kilometers east of Havana and constitutes the main scenario of sun and beach tourism in this nation.
