At the opening of the tenth edition of the two-day Arab-Chinese Businessmen’s Forum, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that these results consolidate the Asian giant’s position as the Arab world’s main trading partner.
The volume of Arab-Chinese trade exchange in 2022 stood at about $430 billion and particularly with Saudi Arabia at about $106 billion, he stressed.
The meeting, he said, is an opportunity to strengthen the historic Arab-Chinese friendship and work to build a common future towards a new era that will bring prosperity to our peoples.
Bin Farhan stressed that the conference, which is being held under the theme Cooperation for Prosperity, could provide new opportunities for increased cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields and urged the Arab private sector to “benefit from China’s technological advancement.”
But also for the Chinese side to explore investment opportunities in the Arab world.
Among the topics to be discussed in the 20 sessions of the forum are energy, transportation, logistics services and e-commerce.
