Panama seizes 26.2 tons of drugs

Panama, Jun 22 (Prensa Latina) Panama's National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) has seized 26.2 tons of drugs this year.

Fifty-six operations were carried out in different coastal areas and territorial waters of Panama, a press release stated.

A total of 17 tons of cocaine, 8.3 tons of marijuana, and 68 packages of cocaine paste, a drug similar to crack, have been seized, the SENAN reported. To date, 97 people in connection with drug trafficking have been detained in Panama.
