The vote took place in the ordinary session on Thursday, in which the President of the preliminary commission Giuseppe Alessandrello presented soon-to-be-elected rectors´ curricula vitae.

Alessandrello praised the confidence of the whole nation in the new Parliament, as all historical records were broken in terms of applicants, and congratulated the 184 citizens who responded to the call for applications.

He explained that the pre-candidates were evaluated during two days, and 175 of the total number of candidates who initially applied advanced in the process, which were submitted to a much more intense review to determine the 10 rectors to be included in the Committee.

Alessandrello said these 175 citizens “have sufficient merit” to be on the list he presented to the parliamentarians.
