Indian press highlights Russian statements on ties with India

New Delhi, Jun 30 (Prensa Latina) The Indian press highlighted the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and of other officials, in relations between the two countries and the growth of the Indian economy.

According to various news outlets, the Russian president praised the Make in India project promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and took it as an example to promote national products and brands.

Putin stated that the initiative has had an impressive effect on India’s economy, All India Radio News highlighted.

The press also reported that Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev spoke by phone with India’s national security adviser Ajit Doval, on Wednesday, about the latest developments in the Russian Federation.

These authorities discussed in detail the current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of security, and the prospects for its deepening within the framework of bilateral and multilateral formats, according to a statement from the Russian government.

The Indian press also recalled the recent statements by the Russian ambassador to India Denis Alipov on the special strategic partnership between the two countries.

Alipov said during a reception for the National Day of the Russian Federation that this relationship has shown strength and is growing stronger than ever.
