Cultural institutions such as the Bertold Bretch and Nacional de Cuba theaters, the Adolfo Llauradó Hall, the Yara cinema, the Nave Oficio de Isla and the Old Havana Amphitheater will be the main venues of the event, which this year will resume its competitive nature.

The competition is mainly focused on the natural categories of humor. Prizes will be awarded in Male and Female Acting, Stage Script, Aquelarre Grand Prize, Show of the Year, Stand Up, Musical Humor, Literature and Plastic Arts.

There will also be a workshop for young people under the guidance of artist Osvaldo Doimeadiós at the Nave Oficio de Isla on July 6 and 7, and an exhibition of posters by Marcos García “El Hijo de Teresa” on July 4 at the gallery of the Sala Covarrubias of the National Theater.

The 27th edition of the event will pay tribute to three great figures and National Humor Awards on the occasion of the centenary of their births: Enrique Núñez Rodríguez, Natalia Herrera and Luis Carbonell.
