Although retired, Guaderrama, who is also a Doctor of Science and Philosophy and a member of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, is a professor of Latin American Thought at the Martha Abreu Central University in Las Villas (UCLV) in Villa Clara province.
Guaderrama is the author of several books about culture and philosophical thought in Latin America and has taught graduate courses and lectures at several universities in the region, as well as in Spain, the United States, Russia, and Germany.
He is also the co-author of several books, including “Valoraciones sobre el pensamiento filosófico cubano y latinoamericano,” “El pensamiento filosófico de Enrique José Varona,” “El pensamiento filosófico en Cuba. Siglo XX,” “La filosofía en América Latina,” and “Lo universal y lo específico en la cultura.”
