URCA strongly condemns EP’s interference stance

Buenos Aires, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) The Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina (URCA) on Thursday slammed interference stance by the European Parliament (EP) and support to U.S. attacks on Cuba.

In a press release, URCA upbraided an EP resolution against Cuba approved thanks to actions from conservative and extreme right-wing lawmakers who have strong relations with anti-Cuban politicians living in the United States and who also seek to hinder the EU-Cuba bilateral relations.

We support the declaration made by the International Relations Commission of Cuba´s National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP) which points out that EP lacks moral, political and legal authority to judge our country.

Plus, it considers “the EP’s stance and support to imperialism in its eagerness to stifle the Cuban people by using its genocidal and cruel blockade” as “genuflecting and interfering”.

URCA’s message was also supported by the Argentine Movement of Solidarity with the Cuba, the Club of Journalists Friends of Cuba, the Association of Graduates in that nation, the Union of Women for Cuba and Propuesta Tatu.

In addition to criticizing Washington’s pressures on the EP to attack Cuba, such organizations accused the United States of being the real manager of the Ukraine conflict and of stigmatizing and attacking States that keep relations with Russia.
