The national coordinator of the solidarity group, Yonny García, told Prensa Latina that next Friday 30 of its members will travel to the island to go to Santiago de Cuba, where they will develop a group of activities on the occasion of the date. The men and women in solidarity, including young people, will carry out, in this city of eastern Cuba, an agenda that includes a tribute to the heroes of the homeland and the martyrs of the Moncada´s Garrison, in the Santa Ifigenia cemetery, and will participate in the Caribbean Meeting of solidarity with Cuba.

The coordinator pointed out that another important moment will take place on July 25, when they will celebrate the great Meeting of Brigades and Solidarity Projects with the participation of representatives of the Juan Rius Rivera Brigades, from Puerto Rico; the European Brigade, and the Latin American and Caribbean Brigade.

They will be joined by Pastors for Peace and solidarity projects from the United States and the Caravan of Solidarity from Brazil, he added.

He commented that in this meeting they will discuss how to “organize ourselves to be much more forceful” in solidarity with Cuba at this moment when US imperialism “mercilessly attacks” the Cuban people with the tightening of the blockade and the inclusion in the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
