Palestinian writers greet Nicaragua for Sandinista Revolution

Nicaragua
Managua, Jul 25 (Prensa Latina) Yesterday, in a released statement, the General Union of Palestinian Writers greeted Nicaragua on the 44th anniversary of the triumph of the popular Sandinista Revolution (1979).

The secretary general of that organization, Murad Al-Sudani, conveyed his best wishes for the patriotic date to President Daniel Ortega, the intellectuals and the Nicaraguan people. “We wish that the depth of relations between the Palestinian and Nicaraguan revolution, be renewed with the struggles of dignity and for the common good of both countries,” he said.

The text affirmed support for the leadership of the people of this Central American nation and described Nicaragua as a symbol of freedom, love, kindness and peace.

Likewise, the document saluted Nicaraguan writers and those who forged history and defend the dream of this country and the free peoples of the world, for their sacrifices and heroism in the face of foreign interventions and imperialist interference.

The popular Sandinista Revolution triumphed in Nicaragua on July 19, 1979, after 45 years of exploitation by the Somoza military dictatorship.
