In a congratulation letter, CEFA President Kamal Gaballa pointed out that the assaults on both Moncada and Carlos Manue de Céspedes barracks on 26 July, 1953, were another link in the country’s independence struggle.

July 26 was crowned a few years later with the Revolution Triumph on 1 January, 1959, Gaballa stressed.

CEFA also reaffirmed its strong support for Cuba which is presently facing a difficult situation due to the “unjust and illegal economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States for over 60 years”.
