South African President in St Petersburg for Russia Africa Summit

Moscow, Jul 26 (Prensa Latina) The South African delegation headed by the country's president, Cyril Ramaphosa, arrived in Saint Petersburg today to participate in the Russia-Africa summit, the Kremlin reported today.

South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor and South African Ambassador to Russia Mzuvukile Jeff Maqetuka are also in town as members of the delegation.

Earlier, the adviser to the Russian president, Yuri Ushakov, stated that the South African head of state would meet on July 28 with his counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

The second summit, economic and humanitarian forum Russia-Africa will take place on July 27 and 28 in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg. The motto of the forum is “For peace, security and development”.

The first edition of the forum took place from October 22 to 24, 2019 in the Russian city of Sochi, located on the Black Sea coast.
