During the talk, Hasina congratulated the UAE president, government and people for hosting the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (COP28).
She reiterated Bangladesh’s support for holding the conference and expressed confidence in the UAE’s leadership in finding a successful solution to global warming and climate change issues.
Expressing deep condolences over the passing away of Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, brother of the leader, Hasina appreciated the UAE’s successful involvement in the negotiations that led to the release of Akm Sufiul Anam, who had been abducted in Yemen on February 11, 2022.
