President Boric calls to crack down inequality and insecurity

Santiago de Chile, Aug 16 (Prensa Latina) After announcing changes in his cabinet, Chilean President Gabriel Boric called Wednesday to crack down inequality and insecurity for a fairer State that guarantees social equality and citizen welfare.

Boric pointed out his administration’s achievements, among them the attrition in the cost of living, the increase in the minimum wage after years of debates, the free primary health care system and the reduction of the working day to 40 hours a week.

Regarding the pending issues of pension reform and the fiscal deal, the president underscored the need for a dialogue among all political forces as a way to move them forward.

The head of State confirmed that tomorrow, Thursday, a meeting will be held with the political Renovacion Nacional, Union Democrata Independiente and Evopoli parties, members of the opposition Chile Vamos coalition.
