Russia presents in Army 2023 forum modern protection means

Moscow, Aug 16 (Prensa Latina) Russia presented in the Army 2023 International Forum, the latest means for the protection of personnel, materials, and critical objectives against attacks using high-precision weapons.

According to the Director of Industry of the RosTekh Corporation, Bejan Ozdoev, camouflage devices can save lives on the front line, hence the importance of its development.

RosTekh showcased a new generation of smoke grenades used to hide the movement of personnel, smoke munitions used to hide land objectives, and EW and radar-jamming pods for aviation.

Ozdoev stated that a simple smoke screen is no longer enough nowadays, it doesn’t help against thermal sights, however, the new generation of grenades is capable of creating a sustained screen of aerosol.

“The objectives are hidden visually, on infrared and radar by simultaneously using three kinds of verifiers (UDSH-2, KDSh-K and KDSh-RL)”

The Central Institute of Precision Engineering belonging to RosTekh provided the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with a shipment of optical-electronic countermeasures, which create an aerosolized smoke screen that protects vehicles from high-precision weapons.

The Army 2023 Military-Technical International Forum is being held between August 14th and the 20th, at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, at the Alabino training polygon, and the Kubinka aerodrome, on the outskirts of Moscow.

Nearly 1500 Russian leader companies in the Military-Industrial Complex and 85 foreign companies and organizations from 60 countries are taking part in the event which was organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
