The official website of the Russian Presidency noted that after listening to the regional leader’s report, Putin stated, “All tasks mentioned by Pasechnik cannot be resolved without solving the main problem, which is to ensure security.”

“You can see it for yourself now; the situation on the contact line remains stable,” the president added.

“More than that, I sometimes look at what the other side is doing, and I have the idea that it is not their people whom they are pushing into minefields under our artillery fire. They act as if they are not their citizens. It’s amazing,” Putin stated.
