Cuban ambassador condemns attack on Cuban embassy in Washington

Paris, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Ambassador to France, Otto Vaillant, and French supporters condemned Monday the attack with Molotov cocktails against the Cuban Embassy in Washington on Sunday, an action they denounced due to its terrorist nature.

Once again, a Cuban diplomatic headquarters has been the victim of those attacks, as it happened in our Embassy in Paris (in July 2021) and for the second time against that mission (in April 2020), Vaillant posted on social media.

France’s Cuba Linda solidarity association and France Cuba Association repudiated the attack perpetrated by an individual on Sunday evening, denounced by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, who wrote on the X platform, formerly Twitter, that none of the embassy staff suffered injuries.

The two organizations reiterated their solidarity with Cuba, its people, and its Revolution and expressed their unconditional support to the Cuban diplomatic personnel.

For Cuba Linda, the terrorist attack is an act of impotence of the enemies of the Cuban Revolution after the successful presence of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel in New York last week.

Cuban residents in France also condemned the aggression. They stated that it is unjust and shameful that Cuba continues to be included in the unilateral US list of countries sponsoring terrorism when it is a victim of that scourge, promoted precisely by the United States. jrr/iff/jf/wmr
