Russian Armed Forces expel Ukrainian troops from Orekhovo-Vasilevka

Moscow, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) The Russian forces expelled Ukrainian units from the town of Orekhovo-Vasilevka, northwest of the city of Artyomovsk in Donetsk, deputy governor of Zaporozhie Vladimir Rogov reported.

“The Russian armed units conducted a surprise attack against the positions of the Ukrainian army on the northern flank of the frontline on Orekhovo-Vasilevka, forcing the defenders to flee,” the official stated on Telegram.

According to Rogov, the liberation of Orekhovo-Vasilevska significantly improves the tactical position of the Russian forces in that sector of the front.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Army has been making unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4th.

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on September 12th that Ukraine had lost 71,500 soldiers, 543 tanks and almost 18,000 armored vehicles of different types during the duration of the counteroffensive, which, for the head of state, has had no results whatsoever.
