Argentina repudiated the attack on the Cuban embassy in the US

Buenos Aires, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Argentina today condemned an attack against the Cuban embassy in the United States and expressed its solidarity with the Caribbean nation.

On Sunday night, an individual threw two Molotov cocktails over the perimeter fence of the facility, which hit the front wall of that diplomatic mission, an event that was denounced by the island and groups from numerous countries.

Argentina expresses its solidarity with the Government and the Cuban people, and reiterates its commitment to dialogue and non-violence, says a statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this South American nation.

For his part, the ambassador of the largest of the Antilles here, Pedro Pablo Prada, thanked the Foreign Ministry’s message and the numerous signs of support received from social, union and political organizations.

Furthermore, he recognized Argentina’s unwavering commitment to peace, against terrorism and in favor of dialogue, understanding and respectful relations between nations.

In turn, political scientist Atilio Borón recalled that that same diplomatic headquarters was shot in 2020 and assured that “the White House cannot ignore the fact: its virulent attacks against Cuba and accusing its government of sponsoring terrorism encourage these attacks.”
