China condemns terrorist attack on Cuban Embassy in US

Beijing, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) China condemned the terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy in the United States and urged the US side to guarantee the safety of diplomatic personnel.

In response to a question from Prensa Latina, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin reiterated that Beijing opposes all forms of violent attacks on diplomatic missions.

“We urge the US side to investigate what happened, resolve the case as soon as possible, and take effective steps to ensure the safety of diplomatic personnel,” the spokesperson stressed.

Cuba has received countless expressions of support from the international community following the announcement that an individual threw two Molotov cocktails at Cuba’s mission in Washington on Sunday evening.

Cuban Ambassador to the United States, Lianys Torres, wrote on the X platform, that the authorities here were notified immediately and granted access to the headquarters “to take samples of the Molotov cocktails.”

Upon denouncing the incident, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez informed that this is the “second violent attack on the diplomatic headquarters in Washington “On April 30, 2020, an individual opened fire with a rifle at the Embassy’s building, causing material damages.
