The Cuban team, national champion in 2022, arrived in this city on Monday and was adjusting to the Alamo Kukulcan Park, the venue of the competition.

The Alazanes will start the tournament against the Fargo-Moorehead RedHawks club, which belongs to the American Professional Baseball Association, one of the four independent circuits associated to the Major League Baseball.

The roster of the US team includes players with experience in MLB organizations, including catcher Chris Herrman, who played in four Major League Baseball franchises between 2012 and 2019.

Another outstanding player is Correlle Prime, with more than 500 minor league games, and 16 openings and 14 home runs in the 2023 season with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
