Conference on Marti addresses his bonds with combatant Serafin

Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Exile and moral context of Serafin Sanchez was the issue chosen for the conference The color of the Nation given Thursday at the 15th Encounter of Reflecting on Marti, which is being held in this central province.

Juan Eduardo Bernal, president of the Sancti Spiritus Jose Marti Cultural Society, told Prensa Latina adding that encounter will be held from October 10-20, and several actions will be taken in local municipalities.

In conference of The Color of the Nation, we approached Serafin’s national defense not only from his presence on Cuba but also in exile, his moral condition, what it meant to live outside Cuba for him, and his approach to Jose Marti, Bernal said.

Serafin Sanchez was not a casual friend of Cuba’s National Hero (1853- 1895), there was an affinity of souls that allowed them to meet and make grow their relashionship, which was short but very intense, the expert explained.
