Venezuela kicks off Electoral Registry Update

Caracas, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela will begin on Thursday a special day for Updating the Electoral Registry, as announced by the Rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Juan Carlos Delpino.

The activity will be conducted in the framework of the Voting Centers Plan and in response to more than 1,700 requests received.

DelPino specified that as many as 500 machines will be deployed throughout the South American nation and the fixed and itinerant points will be disclosed in the CNE’s website.

In a statement last week, the Council announced the beginning of a special registration day for the update of the Electoral Registry.

This step is of great importance for the participative and protagonist democracy.

It was indicated that a total of 500 centers for the registration of new voters and data update will be deployed throughout the country.

The Bolivarian Republic is getting ready to hold presidential elections next year, on a date yet to be defined.
