Arab Union of Cuba condemns Israel’s siege of civilians in Gaza

Gaza2-1
Havana, Oct 13 (Havana) The Arab Union of Cuba on Friday condemned Israel's siege of the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, which it described as genocide.

In a statement, the organization noted that it is an aberrant act and violates all norms of International Law, because the Israeli Government is holding two million people prisoners in a city in ruins, to which it decided to interrupt vital services. such as medical supplies, water and electricity.

“Under a total blockade and an indiscriminate bombing campaign, the Government of Israel is massacring women, children and the elderly without any qualms,” highlights the press release, to which Prensa Latina had access.

It also denounces how this event occurs under the complacent view of Western countries that not only support Zionism through their discourses, but also send material resources to increase the death toll on the Palestinian side.

It expressly condemns the people who are stealing the lives, dreams, desires to grow and lives from thousands of children who will be traumatized forever by so much hatred and destruction.

The document supports the Palestinian people’s right to control their territory, establish a State and receive compensation for more than half a century of occupation, as well as their efforts for peace, whose result will be the creation of the State of Palestine.

The text points out that Israel is an invading State, which does not recognize international law, as its borders with Palestine were set by the United Nations in 1948, something that it has not respected, invading the Arab territory again and again.

In each invasion, the clashes have been between the civilians of those communities and one of the best equipped armies in the world. The asymmetry in this conflict has reached the point of transcending for history the images of children and young people facing tanks with sticks and stones, the press release adds.

“It is still a David versus Goliath fight, only this time, David is the Palestinian people,” the statement notes.
