Putin highlights Russian-Tajik security agreements

Bishkek, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) Security issues are being resolved by the relevant structures of Russia and Tajikistan, President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.

“Everything is developing according to plan”.

Colleagues are working, the government is working.

“Security problems are being solved”, the Russian leader said after a meeting on the sidelines of the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Kyrgyzstan.

The Kremlin earlier reported that the leaders of Russia and Tajikistan would discuss issues related to the further development of bilateral relations in various areas, regional security issues, the situation on the border with Afghanistan, and the operation of the 201st military base.

Putin arrived in Bishkek yesterday. He has already met with Kyrgyz President Sadir Zhaparov and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
