Presidents Maduro and Lula discuss issues of common interest

Caracas, Oct 16 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan and Brazilian Presidents Nicolas Maduro and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva held a phone talk on issues of common interest.

The Bolivarian head of State revealed on X that they had a “pleasant conversation,” in which they addressed important issues of the cooperation map between the countries.

Brazil and Venezuela have a clear path to continue working alongside for the welfare, development and prosperity of our peoples, Maduro said.

Caracas and Brasilia resumed diplomatic relations in January 2023, after being disrrupted for three years during the government of former right-wing president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022).

With Lula’s return to power, both executives advanced in the reestablishment of bilateral relations and agreed to resume a common agenda to analyze and discuss priority issues, official sources reported.
