Russia to increase gas supplies to China

Moscow, Oct 18 (Prensa Latina) Russian gas supplies by pipeline to China will reach the level of gas exported to Western Europe shortly, GAZPROM Chairman Alexei Miller, told Rossiya-1 channel on Wednesday.

Russia exported 15.5 billion cubic meters of gas to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline in 2022. “This year supplies of Russian gas to China are projected at 22 billion cubic meters,” the senior official said.

Miller mentioned that the gas pipeline is expected to reach its design capacity of 38 billion cubic meters in 2025.
