Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay to arrange details of World Cup

Montevideo, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) Presidents of Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay will meet up on Friday in Montevideo with FIFA’s coordinators of the opening matches of the 2030 World Cup on the agenda, local press unfolded on Tuesday.

Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou will receive his counterparts from Argentina and Paraguay, Alberto Fernandez and Santiago Peña, respectively.

The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) President Alejandro Dominguez, the government authorities for the sport of the three countries and the directors of the associations of the sport will be attending the encounter as well.

The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be the 24th edition and will be held in Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

However, the latter three will just host the opening matches for their teams as a way of commemorating the centennial of the first Cup, held here in 1930 at the Estadio Centenario.
